Demi Lovato Engagement Ring - Demi Lovato Engaged to Max Ehrich

Demi Lovato shared the news that she and boyfriend Max Ehrich were engaged this morning on Instagram. The singer shared a series of photos, taken on the beach, of the two relishing in the moment, sharing a kiss—and a close-up of her engagement ring. Lovato (coincidentally) donned a white dress by Retrofête for the moment along with a pair of diamond earrings by Established.

Lovato shared a note to Ehrich in her post, saying "I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself..."

And while the singer's announcement was sentimental, thoughtful, and undeniably romantic, our eyes are still on her stunning emerald-cut engagement ring by Rodeo Drive based jeweler, Peter Marco. The stone, which looks to be set in platinum, is flanked by what appear to be two pentagonal-cut stones.

Stones of this cut are all about showing off a diamond with a high-grade of clarity, like a flawless stone. Given the lean, rectangular shape of an emerald cut, it's also known to elongate the hand. Given the quality of the stones typically associated with emerald-cut stones, it's no surprise that other celebrity brides who have donned this style include Beyoncé, Sarah Jessica Parker, Amal Clooney, Grace Kelly, and Jennifer Lopez—just to name a few. While one-of-a-kind and absolutely breathtaking, Lovato's ring might be most similar in feel to Jennifer Lopez's ring from Alex Rodriguez, an emerald-cut ring set in platinum flanked by diamond baguettes.
